NRES on-line form

The NRES on-line form system was closed on 1 September 2009.

Applicants should now use the Integrated Research Application System (IRAS) to prepare applications to NHS Research Ethics Committees.

The withdrawal of the NRES form follows the decision made by the IRAS Management Board chaired by the Department of Health that NRES and other review bodies should adopt IRAS as their preferred system of application from 1 April 2009.   This reflected the high level of applications being made using IRAS since its launch in January 2008, the enhancements made to IRAS in response to the initial consultation and continuing user feedback, and the difficulty of justifying the cost of maintaining two separate systems and duplicating development work.
